LUNAFEST brings a festival of new short films by, for, and about women to theaters around the country every year. The Fox will host the only Kansas screening outside the KC-metro area in 2022! This year’s stories, recommended for audiences ages 13 and up, use both live action and animation to reveal the friendships and family ties woven through the lives of women and gender nonconforming individuals. The eight festival films highlight aspirations, challenges, and strengths for a moving evening of inspiration.
NEW this year: Emily McAllister, director of the festival film Wearable Tracy, will Zoom in to the Fox for an audience Q&A following the screening.

Tickets are $20 each. Complimentary wine (for 21 & over) or beverages, appetizers, and desserts will be served.
Doors open at 6:00 p.m. for the buffet. Films begin at 7:00 p.m.

All proceeds from LUNAFEST will benefit women with extreme financial hardship in Reno County through the Soroptimist Emergency Fund and Chicken & Egg Pictures, a nonprofit organization that supports women nonfiction filmmakers whose artful and innovative storytelling catalyzes social change.
