Through our Community Impact Award program, SI Hutch honors girls who are high school seniors for their volunteer service to their community and provides them with $500.00 awards. Our business meetings are held at noon on the 2nd Monday of each month, September through June, in the upstairs room at Trinity United Methodist Church, on the corner of Main and 17th Streets in Hutchinson, KS.
Mother's Day is observed the second Sunday in May, as proposed by Anna Jarvis of Philadelphia in 1907. West Virginia was the first state to recognize the holiday in 1910, and President Woodrow Wilson officially proclaimed Mother's Day a national holiday in 1914.
